"No hurry," Sophia said with a smile.
She wasn't sure if Jun minded or not, but probably not. The guy seemed too easy going to complain about it. Fortunately, she had an answer to Kitsune's question. She had visited Earl's Pokemon Academy while she had been in Violet City, and someone had asked that same question.
"Maybe just battle experience will help, even if it runs away during the battle," she added.

"Yeah, she said," Jun said point down at Sophia, "I ain't got anything better to do anyways. So take your time with Fotsuney here."
He then walked to the nearest end-cap and picked up a random product.
"I'll just see if there anything cool here," Jun then looked at the product in hands. It was none other than the map they came to buy in the first place. It was was of a decent size so it wouldn't be cumbersome or to small to read the print. It also had all the destination like towns, cities, and forests marked and how far they where from the closest city.
".......Not this," Jun said putting the map back in place and walked down the aisle.

"...Yeah I'm probably gonna release the thing soon. Well...I don't know, it was pretty expensive...Ah, we'll see. I'm not used to the Psychic type, but whatever." Kitsune shrugged. He glanced at Jun and smirked as he used the fused name, knowing that he'd smirk every time it was used. He noticed the maps there, and frowned, pointing and opening his mouth as Jun discarded what looked like a legitimate piece of merchandise. He didn't say anything, though, just kind of lowered his hand and moved closer to look at the maps.
He glanced at Jun, then at Shinra, and pointed silently and comically from Jun, to the map, to Shinra, to the counter, mouthing indecipherably, looking mildly confused, and hoping to get the point across to buy it.

Shinra actually snorted and put a hand to his mouth, so no one but Kit would really notice that he was laughing, hopefully.
"Smooth," he sneered jokingly as he headed towards the map and picked it up, thumbing through it to figure out why Jun had dumped it. His smirk faltered a bit. What was wrong with this map?
Or...was he just not interested in the map in lieu of all the other things in the store? Well that seemed a bit ungrateful to Shinra...but he supposed it couldn't be helped. The guy probably didn't focus well.
Regardless, Shinra headed to the front counter to pay for the map while Jun wandered. It wasn't too costly, thankfully. He was short on cash right now.

Kitsune watched for a second, then something came to him, and he spazzed a little and followed Shinra quickly.
"Hey, oo, idea!" he said, coming up beside the other readhead. "Lemme get this one, it'll make up for all those times I didn't try to meet up with you or text via PokeNav or anything. Which was, like...every second since we went our own ways."
He smirked, and thought about it.
"Yeah, buying a map is about how much that's worth," he said, nudging Shinra with his elbow.

"Aw, come on, dude...you know I can afford it," Shinra said, looking embarrassed. Kitsune was wealthy as well, but Shinra came from a wealthier family. He believed that entitled him to have to pay for all his stuff and...maybe sometimes even Kitsune's. He thusly felt odd having his friend pay for things.
"Anyway, it's okay. We both got our own lives to live, I don't need reports from ya," he said, trying to ease up the non-contact thing. Maybe Kit was joking, but even Shinra had to admit that they didn't exactly talk that much. It made meeting up again that much more cool to him.

"Yeah, but, y'know, I feel bad and stuff," Kit said with a shrug. "C'mon, it's totally cool, my parents gave me a bunch of money and everything when I was back home. It doesn't even cost that much, anyway. How much is it?"
He bent down and stuffed his hand into a cargo pant pocket near his knee and rooted around for some money.

"It's not that bad, just 8000," Shinra said, shrugging. "After all, it's only a map. Which, by the way, makes me feel real loved, Kit. I'm worth a map to ya, huh?"
He'd let his friend pay today, but it really didn't sit right with him.
"Hey, so...how long you stayin' in Celadon anyway?"

Kitsune snorted. "Only long enough to pick up a Fire Stone, then I was gonna head to Saffron to give those twins a go again. How long you here 'till?" he asked, pulling out a black, polished, faux-leather wallet and opening it, counting out the Pokes.
Right, only eight thousand, he thought with a smirk. Such a breeze t'you, Shin...Kitsune might have lived in a rich neighborhood, but his money wasn't inherited from a company. His father had worked long and hard to win them their riches, and Kit wasn't getting any free ride anywhere. His parents would give him money for food and supplies, but he worked for his extra cash. Wagering on battles wasn't a bad way to live, though. Sometimes he felt like he was living up to his father's name...
He shelled out the 8k, and laid it on the counter for Shinra, grinning for no apparent reason. He did that sometimes.

Sophia had been glancing at the merchandise populating the shelves near her. When she heard Shinra's voice, however she turned around to reply. She had to say that she was jealous of Shinra and Kitsune's apparent wealth. Sure, she made money off of random battles, but it wasn't nearly so much as they seemed to have. Her parents hadn't really had much to give her, besides money for the essentials.
"I'm here for the badge, too. Gonna kick some ass and move on to the next town. What're you going to do after you're done in Celadon?" she asked.

"Dunno, prolly take a leaf out of Kitsune's book and head to Saffron for my next badge, since it's right there and all," Shinra said with a light shrug. "Well..assuming I can get Lily's badge, that is."

"Hey, don't go taking leaves out of my book," Kitsune said defensively. "I like my leaves. They're mine. Go find your own leaves, or steal someone else's."
He smirked the whole time, leaning on the counter, but away from the cashier so other people could purchase things. He didn't attempt to add anything else to the conversation, though.

Sophia laughed at Kitsune's little joke, starting to take a liking to this guy. He seemed to be genuinely good natured. She wondered how good of a trainer he was.
"Saffron, huh? I may just follow you there. I don't have that badge yet. It's the next city anyway, may as well beat a gym, right?"

Jun was looking at random items when he herd calling his name and the word map.
Guess I gots me a new map, he thought as he walked over to the other. As he walked over he couldn't help over here what the others where talking about.
When he herd Shinra say something that caught his attention and he knew what he had to do.
He nonchalantly walked over to the group, "Yo, where did you put the map?"

Kitsune glanced at Sophie as she laughed, and flashed her a handsome smile and a wink, just for the hell of it. When Jun came back, though, he swung an arm up and over his head to point at Shinra, who still had the map with him, if SD wasn't mistaken.
"He got it. That's awesome though," he added, looking at Shinra and Sophie as he lowered his arm. "Traveling in groups is way more fun than alone..." He glanced at Jun. "What about you? Gonna take down Lily 'n head to Saffron with us? It'll probably take her a while to recover from all three of you, though, if you go at once...Unless she gets some of her Gym trainers in for a big triple-melee thing going on...Which could be awesome to watch..."

"Well gee. If it's so easy, we can just take a whole round trip and pick up our badges," Shinra said jokingly, poking his tongue out. "Nah, but seriously, I guess it's alright."
It really felt weird...but maybe if Kitsune stayed with them, he wouldn't feel so awkward...
"Anyway, here's your map, Jun."
He slid the book across the counter slowly towards the other trainer.

"Thanks dude," Jun said with a smile on his face, "But that's not why I hit you. Now what's all this 'assuming' stuff," Jun said with annoyed tone as he threw up some air quotes. "That's a horrible attitude to have when it comes to facing a gym leader," Jun said as he tapped Shinra's shoulder, "No, you need to get yourself a better one!," Jun proclaimed as he started to get excited, "You need to start thinking you can win; then you start believing; and finally as you pass through the doors of the gym you do it with a grin on your face because you know you're going to win, " he then suddenly turned around throwing his fist into the air, a fire burning in his eyes, "Cause when the battle is over you know that gym is yours!!"
Jun stood there for a while till he finally turned turned to Fotsuney.
"Yeah, there's a good chance that's what I'm going to do. I mean its my first time in this region and so I ain't going to pass up my first gym battle here. Also, I'm not to familiar with the area so I don't see why shouldn't hang around with these guys for a while. You know?" Jun said like normal as if what he just done hadn't happened.
